Preliminary Design Consultation

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure presented preliminary design elements of the Evergreen Line for public feedback from October 5 to November 13, 2009.

There were multiple opportunities for public input during the consultation period, including

  • Visiting the Evergreen Line Project Office;
  • Attending public open houses or stakeholder meetings;
  • Providing feedback online or providing comments by phone, email or mail.

Feedback received will be summarized in a Preliminary Design Consultation Summary Report, which will be available on this website in mid-December 2009.

Evergreen Alignment Map

The Evergreen Line is a new rapid transit line that will connect Coquitlam to Vancouver via Port Moody and Burnaby. The Evergreen Line will be a fast, frequent and convenient SkyTrain service, connecting Coquitlam City Centre through Port Moody to Lougheed Town Centre in approximately 13 minutes. It will seamlessly connect to the current SkyTrain network at Lougheed Town Centre Station and will integrate with regional bus and West Coast Express networks. Construction of the Evergreen Line is anticipated to begin in late 2010 and be completed in 4 years.
